What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitarian Technician position at Kellogg Company?
As a Sanitation Technician, you’ll work in a great environment at one of or many Kellogg plants around the world – our Zanesville Plant. The team you’ll be joining prides themselves on not just keeping pace, but setting it. You will help maintain plant sanitary conditions related to Waste Material Handling. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Collects, weighs, and transports waste from Operations to the Waste Dock.
- Sorts waste into vendor containers and ensures compliance to Waste Reduction strategies.
- Responsible for executing all SOPs and SSOP’s for associated equipment and area.
- May be designated as the Safety or QFS Lead for the line.
- Responsible for quality workmanship and good housekeeping of equipment and work area.
- Must be qualified to operate a pallet jack, cardboard bailer, dock plates, and compactor.
- Use a variety of equipment i.e. floor scrubbers, wall foamers, high pressure cleaning units, etc.

- Continual standing, walking
- Continual exposure to noise, dampness and heat
- Frequent exposure to caustics, acid chemicals
- Frequent exposure to hot metal surfaces and climbing
- Must be able to lift / move up to 100 pounds infrequently
