Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Linux Engineer with extensive experience in Linux administration, AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, and automation to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing Red Hat-based environments, leveraging Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code, and implementing automation solutions to optimize system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and administer Linux operating systems (RHEL 7 and higher) in a high-availability environment.
- Manage and optimize multiple AWS services while ensuring compliance with best practices and security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and manage Kubernetes (K8s) workloads , including container orchestration and deployment automation.
- Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development, maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement Ansible automation scripts for system provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
- Manage Red Hat Satellite for efficient patch management and system updates.
- Provide Linux server troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve system issues.
- Execute virtual server (VM) migrations , ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Capture and analyze system logs / dumps to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
- Administer and support Avocent DS View console management for remote system access and monitoring.
- Oversee security vulnerability remediation, backup / recovery processes, licensing compliance, and product upgrades.
- Investigate and resolve latency issues , ensuring optimal system performance and uptime.
- Develop automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
