We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Engineer to join our team onsite in Basking Ridge, NJ, and Tarrytown, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases while ensuring security, scalability, and performance. The role will involve automation, cloud migration, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop improvement and innovation plans for databases with a Cloud-First Approach and Automation.
- Define policies, standards, and processes for database projects and operations.
- Resolve database performance issues, capacity needs, and security concerns.
- Lead database modernization efforts by migrating on-premises databases to AWS.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Jenkins.
- Assist in upgrading SQL Server databases and optimizing environments for maximum performance.
- Develop and maintain automation toolkits and Ansible playbooks to automate repetitive tasks.
- Establish automation standards and best practices.
- Define database infrastructure roadmaps, including budgeting, FinOps management, and license management.
- Perform PRC / NPRC for new database builds and transition them to operational teams.
- Maintain and support RAS (Regeneron Automation Server) framework.
- Ensure compliance with GxP processes and configure systems accordingly.
