Job Title: Technical Architect
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Work Location: Charlotte, NC Preferred
Onsite Schedule: Tues-Thurs Onsite, Mon & Fri - WFH
Job Overview:
Candidates should have strong technical architecture and integration experience rather than solely e-commerce-specific experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align solution architecture with enterprise strategy in collaboration with business leaders and enterprise architects.
- Drive innovation within the e-commerce team and identify the best technical direction.
- Document and understand functionality requirements within the e-commerce space.
- Provide process improvement solutions, including coding or third-party integrations.
- Develop an understanding of the e-commerce business models and their challenges.
- Recommend and oversee a technical modernization roadmap to ensure reliability, supportability, resilience, security, and performance.
- Review code changes and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Provide consultation and mentoring to product owners and developers.
- Assist technical teams in troubleshooting e-commerce and integration issues.
- Oversee software development lifecycle practices and mentor team members on best practices for testing and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 years in a solution architect or equivalent role.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in software development or system engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, NodeJS, and Python.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and integration APIs.
- Knowledge of strategic IT solutions and best practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD deployment practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (presentations, documentation, emails).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with OroCommerce.
- Hands-on experience with APIs and integrations.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with AWS Managed Services.
