This Data Governance Specialist is responsible for working closely with Compliance, IT, Middle Office, and Back Office operations, and other Functions to evaluate systems and data used by Compliance for purposes of understanding the lineage from source system to the monitoring application(s) with the objective of identifying and implementing data profiling, data lineage, remediating the backlog of issues, expansion of data governance to new coverage areas and BAU (completeness and quality controls over the key data elements) as required. The candidate will document the data profiling and lineage flows, triage identified backlogged issues, conduct analysis of new coverage areas and work closely with business stakeholders and IT to determine root cause and fix issues at source.
In detail:
Performs data lineage and data profiling analyses for Key Data Elements (KDEs).
Establishes and maintains a cartography of all data sources, and the accompanying product transactions, feeding the monitoring applications.
Triage identified backlogged issues.
Analyzes, designs, documents and onboards new coverage areas.
Investigates data completeness and quality issues related to Key Data Elements (KDEs) and collaborates with Business Analysts for tactical and strategic solutions.
Performs daily reviews of data quality monitoring reports and escalates issues as needed.
Performs root cause analysis, identifying patterns of issues and works with IT to remediate.
Acts as the key point of contact and liaison for data issues within the Compliance Data Governance program.
Prepares and analyzes metrics and other related reports for senior management and for the Compliance Data Governance domain.
