Job Summary:
Kellwell Food Management is seeking a highly motivated and flexible Food Service Traveling Manager to oversee food service operations at correctional facilities in Middle GA . This role involves supervising inmate food preparation, assisting with new facility openings, working in facilities that are sort staffed, training new employees, and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist inmates in meal preparation within the secure environment of a correctional facility, ensuring recipes are followed and correct ingredients/amounts are used. Adherence to all security protocols is mandatory.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct weekly inventory and place truck orders if need when working at facilities.
- Assist with the opening of new facilities, including training new staff. This may involve extended periods at new facility locations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check (required for work in correctional facilities).
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Compensation:
- $40,000 - $45,000 per year
- $650 monthly travel stipend
