Janitor/Custodian

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in our company facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure the overall appearance, hygiene, and sanitation of the building are maintained to the highest standards, creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning Duties:

Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across office spaces, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and windowsills.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) as needed.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners in all areas of the building.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including sinks, countertops, and appliances.
• Maintenance Assistance:
• Report any maintenance issues such as leaks, broken lights, or equipment malfunctions to the Production Manager/Maintenance Team.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and used according to guidelines.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, ensuring that cleaning equipment and supplies are used in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized janitorial closet or storage area.
• Other Duties:
• Perform routine maintenance checks on facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning (e.g., carpet cleaning, floor waxing) as needed.
• Assist with annual additional detailed cleaning prior to AIB audit.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift or carry heavy items.
• Work Environment:
• The job requires regular bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Weekend and abnormal shift hours required.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
