Chief Financial Officer (Full Time / On-Site)

We are seeking an individual to lead and manage our Credit Union's financial stewardship - overseeing accounting, IT, HR, treasury management, and strategic financial planning. A successful Chief Financial Officer ensures the credit union's financial reporting aligns with required accounting practices, safeguards all assets, and optimizes profitability. The CFO is responsible for oversight of the organization's budgeting, asset / liability management, and financial control activities and answers to credit union's leadership for the CFO role's ownership of all major duties and responsibilities. Chief Financial Officer Qualifications Summary

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a management role, preferably within a credit union or financial services environment. Preference given to candidates exhibiting knowledge in Credit Union products, services, and applicable regulations, workable knowledge in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance with an understanding of federal regulations affecting credit unions, including the NCUA and FASB guidelines, having experience managing investment portfolios, liquidity, and risk mitigation strategies and expertise in asset and liability management, familiarity with HR best practices and IT systems, including cybersecurity and operational efficiency tools and experience overseeing IT infrastructure in financial institutions, and strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts in similar organizations.

Chief Financial Officer Position Classification : Executive (Exempt); Full-time, onsite with availability to work 45 hours or more / week depending on business needs.

  • Compensation : DOE, Paid bi-weekly
  • Benefits and Leaves :
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability Plans, and Voluntary Insurance - eligible on the 1st of the month following the initial 30 days of employment with the credit union
  • Basic Life / AD&D paid by employer
  • Retirement - 401k with employer match up to 5% after 90 days as a payroll employee
  • Optional Critical Illness / Cancer or Accidental Supplemental Insurance available
  • Paid Vacation, Sick, Bereavement, Jury Duty, Volunteer, and Paid Holidays (11 annually)
