Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a Production Supervisor in the Kennesaw, GA area. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!
Salary :
75,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
Shift :
Mon – Thurs | 5pm – 6am
Responsibilities :
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production and packaging. The ideal candidate will not just be someone who supervises the work of others. A supervisor will also be responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between hourly associates and plant management. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. This person will be well-versed in processes under the role's responsibilities and will be results-driven and focused. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
Ensure employees are GFSI trained and utilize that training to produce safe quality food.
Provide leadership and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow processes / procedures.
Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate them to hourly associates.
Prepare and present daily direction setting meeting (Huddle Meeting) for hourly associates.
Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines.
Check production output according to specifications and recommend continuous improvement ideas.
Submit reports on performance and identify issues in efficiency.
Leverages continuous improvement tools to eliminate loss, optimize processes, and improve reliability.
Qualifications :
At least 2 years supervising experience in a related industry.
1 year manufacturing experience.
High school diploma. A degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage.
Shift flexibility including extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.
Ability to read and write in English and to write reports legible and accurately.
Ability to use MS Office.
Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards.
Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Superb leadership and problem-solving skills.
