Kelly Engineering is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our client’s team. This role focuses on designing, programming, and upgrading automated equipment hardware and software to retrofit legacy systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Develop and optimize control system retrofits to enhance performance.
- Program control systems for cam, servo, air-operated stations, test, and electrical devices.
- Ensure electrical designs are functional, cost-effective, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
- Research and specify appropriate components for system upgrades.
- Create and update wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
- Participate in design reviews, installations, and service calls as needed.
- Estimate engineering hours required for machine retrofits and upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance on wiring, coding, and software validation.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions.
- Debug software issues and document updates accordingly.
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and electricians.
- Manage workload efficiently, meeting project schedules and budgets.
