SUMMARY
Kelly Engineering is seeking a qualified Industrial Engineer for a contract to hire role with our client in Florence, KY. Our client has been in business for over 50 years and partners with the world's top brands, offering comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions. They are experiencing growth and are actively interviewing and hiring. In this position, you will support the Industrial Engineering Department in planning, designing, implementing and managing; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Main focus is conducting studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and recommending methods for maximum utilization of production equipment and personnel.
- Monitoring and continuously improving daily quality / efficiency performance for assigned areas.
- Designing and procuring production tooling, processing equipment and workstations.
- Coordinating layout and workstation move activities.
- Preparing time estimates for proposed projects and evaluating time factors.
- Minimizing change over time by ensuring programs use common set-ups where possible.
- Verifying that machine maintenance is being performed on schedule.
- Reducing machine-generated scrap by monitoring machine management data and taking corrective action to improve or correct the operations.
- Reducing manual assembly scrap by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action to improve or correct the operations.
- Analyzing work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Adhering to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Complying and following all procedures within the company security policy.
