RESEACH TECHNICIAN
Primary Job Functions
- Performs PropertiesMechanical Testing on polyolefin resins and films
- Interfaces with internal customers on a daily basis
- Operates and maintains analytical and physical properties testing equipment
- Ensures data reliability through adherence to quality objectives and develops all method support documentation
- Prepares and tests samples by following detailed ASTM methods to provide high quality data
- Calculates, analyzes and interprets data
- Loads data to the work order management system for review by Ph. D. Scientists and Engineers
- Efficiently manages their work request backlog and turnaround time
- Performs methods development work as needed for product development
- Solves analytical problems and leads efforts to introduce new technologies to support the business
- Stewards third party instrument calibrations and performs equipment verifications
- Performs internal calibrations and monitoring SQC charts for quality compliance
- Manages sample inventory, handling, shipping, storage, and disposal
- Conduct advanced scientific experiments
- BS , Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field
- Capable of safe, reliable, and independent laboratory work.
- Ability to learn new techniques as needed.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Concern for accuracy and precision.
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication written/oral and interpersonal skills.
