Laboratory Technologist I or II (ASCP Certification required)
Location : Lancaster, PA
Shift : First and Second Shifts Available (Ideal hours 10am-6 : 30pm)
Compensation : $28 - $34 / hour (Depending on Experience)
We are seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join a growing team in Lancaster, PA. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting. The successful candidate will perform laboratory testing, maintain equipment, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the efficient operation of the laboratory. This position offers opportunities for both entry-level and more experienced professionals, depending on skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct laboratory testing according to established protocols and procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
- Address any issues that may impact safety, data quality, or service levels, and escalate as needed.
- Perform and document quality control tests, routine equipment maintenance, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and collaborate with vendors to maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as GxP, DoH, CAP, and CLIA standards where applicable.
- Assist with various laboratory tasks, including inventory management, housekeeping, archiving, and safety tasks.
- Cross-train other staff in key job responsibilities and provide back-up support for team members as needed.
- Perform clinical validations and collaborate with quality control teams on technical validations.
- Review and release test results to clients, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Run and review proficiency testing samples and ensure all standards are met.
