Mechanical Design Engineer (Direct Hire or Contract to Direct)
Location : Copiague, NY
Salary : $110,000 - $145,000 depending upon experience
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and devices for boilers, heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or related field experience
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis of boilers, heat exchangers, or pressure vessels
- 5 years of experience with ASME codes (Part 1, 4 and 8) mechanical engineering principles
- 5 years of experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience in understanding using formulas to calculate, when required, to comply with local and ASME codes and regulations for pressure vessels and tanks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
