Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product/Development Engineer to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will develop, and design manufactured products in accordance with company and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering changes for existing products
- Manage the new product development pipeline
- Create functional and manufacturable new product designs
- Leverage strong engineering background and mechanical aptitude to develop new products based on market and customer needs
- Collaborate with key customers to create/refine designs and secure final production approval
- Direct Engineer/Designer activities and coordinate with the tool shop to optimize product designs
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical connector or similar market
- RJ45 experience preferred
- Experience in design, development, and manufacturing
- Familiarity with production processes including stamping, molding, and assembly
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and strong hands-on skills
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- CAE mechanical simulation experience is a plus
- PDM experience is a plus
- ERP revision and BOM management experience
- Tool shop experience is a plus
- Proven new product development and project management capabilities
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
