Overview :
The Engineering Design Technicia n will be responsible for reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and processed piping drawings. They must also be able to conduct field walk-downs, translate field observations to as-built drawings, and coordinate with external engineering and architectural firms. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and involves supporting the creation of construction packages for small in-house projects, as well as validating and producing drawings for FDA compliance.
The ideal candidate is an Engineering Design Technician with 2-5 years of MEP experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with external firms. They should be capable of conducting field walk-downs, creating as-built drawings, and supporting small in-house design projects. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with the potential of converting to permanent employment.
Minimum Qualifications :
- MEP Experience : 2-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and processed piping.
- AutoCAD Proficiency : Strong skills in AutoCAD are essential.
- Field Experience : Ability to perform field walk-downs and translate observations to as-built drawings.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with outside engineering and architectural firms.
- Design Capability : Ability to support small in-house design projects.
- Validation Drawings : Experience in producing validation drawings for FDA compliance.
