Operations Manager – South Haven, MI
Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for a qualified, full-time, permanent Operations Manager in the South Haven, MI area for one of our clients.
Summary:
The Operations Manager will be accountable for the effectiveness and financial performance of the manufacturing areas and be a member of our leadership team while reporting to the Plant Manager. This person will be the leader of 4 production crews and other site personnel to meet safety, quality, and production goals at the site. The ability to be versatile, eager to work cross functionally, and collaboratively are all driving factors in this role.
Pay: $140K/yr - $170K/yr, with a 16% target bonus. Relocation assistance available and a comprehensive benefits package available.
Hours: The schedule will be M-F; however, overtime coverage as needed. This is a 24/7 operation, so flexibility is important. This is a 100% onsite role with little to no travel.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the production of API products adhering to Process Safety Management (PSM) and FDA quality regulations.
Leads the operations team to meet EHS, production, and quality targets.
Effectively manages staff
Promotes and drives a strong culture of continuous improvement
Facilitates daily production review and planning with engineering and operations team.
Manages a weekly schedule review which includes collaboration and planning with business, Sales, R&D, QA, and other site functions.
Manages monthly production performance in accordance with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and site absorption planning.
Individually manages production updates, forecasts, and reviews of the operating plan.
Focuses on production, yields, cycle time, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scheduling, and fixed costs.
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
B. S. Degree in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering required.
7 years of chemical manufacturing industry experience which includes leadership/management experience required.
cGMP manufacturing experience highly desired.
API CDMO manufacturing experience highly desired
