• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (rotating on call weekends every 5-6 weeks, must be available via phone
  
  

Job Summary

The Clinical Veterinarian will provide care for research animals, manage health, perform medical procedures, and support research activities in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and supervise animal care. Administer anesthesia and monitor recovery.
• Maintain surgical supplies and sterilization protocols. Conduct health surveillance, exams, and necropsies.
• Perform surgeries and medical procedures; train technicians.
• Ensure compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and ethical standards.
• Contribute to Animal Care and Use programs and SOPs.
• Assist in research, sample collection, and test article preparation.
• Supervise weekend duties as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• DVM required. ECFVG certification for non-AVMA accredited graduates.
• Active U.S. Veterinary License in any state
• Must obtain Missouri license within one year of hire.
• Research animal experience required.
• FDA GLP experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $115,000 - $175,000 (based on relevant research animal experience).
• Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and employee assistance programs.
