Overview :
This client is an industry-leading company known for innovation in product development within the food and beverage industry. In this role, you’ll be working with a diverse team of leaders and colleagues to analyze, develop, and improve both new and existing products utilizing various raw materials. This role will give you an opportunity to lead R&D initiatives while advancing the company's product lines and ensuring top-quality offerings.
Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate superior creativity in product development.
- Originate and develop new and existing products, including juice concentrates and flavors, based on customer or in-house requirements.
- Work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
- Assess the feasibility of projects considering production capacity, technology, equipment, and other limitations.
- Perform cost analysis and determine suggested selling prices for developed products.
- Create master formulas and compounding instructions as needed.
- Prepare and revise product specification sheets.
- Communicate with customers' technical staff to understand product requirements and develop products that meet their needs.
- Provide technical support to customers and brokers.
- Offer on-site technical assistance to customers for new productions and troubleshooting.
- Train R&D Product Development Chemists.
- Establish guidelines, procedures, and policies for outgoing samples.
- Assist Quality Control and Production departments during the initial production of new products.
- Handle sample request inquiries in the absence of the R&D Product Development Manager.
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
