Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Imaging Techniques : Operate equipment independently to perform complex sonographic examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, vascular, gynecological, and intra-operative ultrasound exams.
- Patient Care & Preparation : Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials needed for patient procedures. Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Collaborative Procedures : Assist Radiologists during invasive procedures and perform routine diagnostic procedures with significant complexity.
- Data Management & Equipment Maintenance : Obtain pertinent clinical data, maintain ultrasound equipment per manufacturer guidelines, and ensure electronic records are accurately transferred and maintained.
- Radiation Protection : Implement radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure safety during imaging procedures.
- Technical Proficiency : Utilize advanced imaging software, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards, CT, IR, and other modalities. Recommend methods to prevent increased exposure during imaging.
- Patient Positioning : Skillfully position patients for a variety of highly complex imaging studies, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
