We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Motor Coach driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. As a Motor Coach driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive travel experience for all passengers.
Duties
- Operate motor coaches and other vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their comfort during the journey.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Manage schedules effectively to ensure timely arrivals at designated locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or other items as needed.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during travel.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and ensuring that all passengers are seated before departure.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating motor coaches.
- Proven experience in bus driving or related roles such as delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of paratransit services is a plus but not required.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle unexpected situations calmly.
- A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in recent years.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
