KEY RESPONSBILTIES
- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely results by adhering to established practices and standards.
- Reports test results timely.
- Notifies provider of critical results and documents appropriately.
- Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity, and specific factors, which influence test results. Consults with supervisor or pathologists when needed.
- Assists with test method validation.
- Collaborate with medical staff and laboratory team to provide exemplary service and care.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in either a laboratory Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified or accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
- Generalist certification as an MLS or specialist certifications in Blood Banking (BB), Chemistry (C), Cytotechnology (CT), Hematology (H), Microbiology (M), Molecular Biology (MB) is required.
