Packaging Technician

Kelly Science, a global staffing and solutions provider of specialty talent, is currently recruiting for a Packaging Technician! This position is critical to the overall success of the organization. As a packaging technician, you would be tasked with the packaging of solid-dose animal health pharmaceuticals using manual and automated machinery. This packaging takes place in a cleanroom so full gowning is required. Pay rate: $20/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm

Duration: Direct-hire (permanent)

Job Responsibilities:

• Setup, operate, calibrate, and clean packaging equipment
• Filling finished product into packaging, either through manual operation or with automated packaging machine
• Use of a Human Machine Interface (HMI) to operate automated packaging line
• Finish packaging, move product between areas
• Follow process instructions according to packaging batch records
• Participate in department quality initiatives
• Constantly monitor product quality
• Check and verify processing steps during packaging
• Follow proper documentation and verification guidelines
• Participate in a team environment; providing assistance to others when needed
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and all other applicable regulations, policies, and practices
• Participate in general housekeeping of the work areas
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Packaging, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Comfortable performing manual labor, with or without reasonable accommodation, as needed
• Must be able to wear PPE and follow all gowning requirements
• Mechanical aptitude is helpful
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
