Location: Bloomington, IN - Hybrid

Pay Rate: $20-25/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Contract Type: Temporary to Hire

Position Overview: Kelly Services is proud to partner with a top-tier company in the pharmaceutical industry seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team. The Payroll Assistant will be the primary contact for payroll inquiries, handling and triaging questions from employees, and logging data into a management system. Key Responsibilities

  • Triage payroll inquiries and assign them to the appropriate HR/Payroll contact.
  • Respond to known issues with planned resolutions.
  • Log inquiries into the Issue Tracking Log.
  • Payroll processing, reviewing timesheets, and assisting with payroll transmission tasks.
  • Field questions regarding user errors, configuration issues, and tax updates (e.g., W4 updates).
  • Manage SmartSheet tracker for employee requests and issues.
  • Monitor and track two email inboxes for payroll and benefits inquiries.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or equivalent
  • Proficient in data entry and data management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet
  • Knowledge of Dayforce is a plus
