Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a QC Lab Technician position at a personal care manufacturing facility in Baton Rouge. The overall responsibility of the position is the analysis and inspection of incoming chemicals, work-in-progress materials, and finished products following company SOPs.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Inspection of incoming product containers and labels to ensure they meet quality standards
- Identify and classify chemicals, product containers, work-in-progress materials and finished products as accepted or rejected based on analyses/inspections
- Perform inspection of finished products’ packaging, closures, and labels
- Complete documentation associated with all inspections and audits
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure the lab is stocked with supplies
- Keep temperature logs of incubators, refrigerators, and freezers
- Prepare microbiological media and culture pathogens on such media
- Collects, sterilizes, and disposes of biohazard materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline
- One year of related work experience is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- General familiarity with laboratory equipment and the ability to learn new laboratory techniques
- Experience with some of the following is preferred: HPLC, GC, FTIR, AA, pipetting, density, viscosity, and aseptic technique
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, high ownership of assigned tasks, and results oriented
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
