Pay Rate : $17.00 / hr.
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, 1-hour lunch
About the Role
As a Warehouse Office Assistant, you'll be the heart of our warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receiving and shipping activities. You'll be responsible for :
Monitoring and Assisting with Receiving and Shipping : Screening incoming vehicles, determining their destination, advising staff upon arrival, and documenting everything in our WMS (EDGE) system.
Communication and Customer Service : Effectively communicating with the customer service department about order processing and providing excellent customer service for any issues that arise.
Coordination and Efficiency : Assisting in coordinating transportation providers for timely shipments, reviewing BOLs and shipping documents for accuracy, making special arrangements as needed, and tracking and fixing shipping errors.
Administrative Tasks : Preparing bills and invoices, ensuring all services meet Halstead standards, and developing processes to optimize our supply chain.
Problem Solving and Communication : Responding to same-day complaints and questions with clear communication to customer points of contact. What You'll Need
Basic Computer Skills : Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Business Acumen : Ability to make sound decisions that advance priorities, capitalize on opportunities, and resolve problems effectively.
Time Management : Exceptional organizational skills to manage your workload efficiently.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Relationship Building : Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with vendors and customers. Physical Demands
Active Role : Walking, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), standing, sitting, and moving around the warehouse.
Various Tasks : Bending, stooping, turning, and working in varying temperatures.
