Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team! This position is located in Tampa, Florida.
Duties:
- Perform user functional analysis for the development of strategic and tactical initiatives for the business units
- Partner with functional groups within the organization to clarify business requirements and ensure technologies are aligned with business needs
- Understand overall technical direction and communicate this direction to the business to ensure consistent and common application of technology solutions
- Ensure clear and complete project requirements to deliver a complete solution
- Work with business units to define and complete detailed business requirements for tactical and strategic recommendations
- Provide ongoing support throughout the pilot phase of the initiative
- Build partnerships with business and technical representatives to create a team atmosphere while solving problems
- Conduct structured interviews with various business and technical representatives to gather information relating to a specific business situation
- Create workflow diagrams that reflect current and future business environments
- Document findings, formulate alternatives, and finalize recommendations
- Facilitate project work related to the company operations business from the beginning phases through implementation
- Perform other assignments to comply with business strategies and initiatives
- Analyze, evaluate, and recommend vendor system software packages to meet business requirements
- Develop presentations for business and technical partners to communicate and sell findings and recommendations
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 7 years of experience as a business analyst in a relevant domain
- 3 years of experience in business systems development
- Proficiency in PC desktop software, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions and engage in productive discussions
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in interviewing, researching, and documenting findings
- High-energy, positive mindset, and an assertive yet professional demeanor, recognized as an intelligent and valuable team contributor
- Industry knowledge of Life Insurance, Annuities, Marketing, and Telemarketing systems and applications
- Proven leadership, communication, listening, and influencing abilities
- Ability to build trust and credibility across teams and stakeholders
- Highly adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in dynamic environments
- Technical expertise across multiple domains, including relational databases, Web Services APIs, and SaaS solutions
- Strong architectural understanding, with the ability to apply principles to business solutions
- Capability to conceptualize and design high-level models, including capability, business, and operating models
- Experience supporting self-service platforms and public-facing marketing websites
