Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Partner to join their team! This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana or Atlanta, Georgia.
Duties:
- Direct and implement software-related supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness
- Analyze and report on spend and usage trends, supplier performance metrics, cost savings, and improvement opportunities
- Utilize RFI, RFP, and RFQ techniques to identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers for competitive market advantage
- Implement proactive procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and systems including supplier onboarding, purchase order management, and project management
- Lead integration efforts related to software procurement in merger and acquisition activities
- Influence cross-functional teams while building strong internal relationships to meet business needs and cost objectives
- Understand how Generative AI technologies are sold, procured, and managed, bringing insight to AI-related sourcing initiatives
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Strong understanding of business contract law and experience negotiating software licensing contracts, including SaaS, conventional licensing, and public cloud marketplaces
- Proven success implementing procurement best practices, building strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, and consulting on sourcing strategies for cross-functional project teams
- Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with the ability to drive sourcing initiatives from planning through execution
- Strong ability to review, negotiate, and manage contracts, including amendments and renewals
- Demonstrated experience in SaaS procurement; broader software sourcing knowledge is a plus but not required
- Hands-on experience with Coupa, including managing order forms, procurement workflows, and CRM integrations
- Capable of independently managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including issuing contracts and vendor onboarding
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Experience creating and managing RFPs and RFIs, including evaluation and vendor selection processes
- Strong project management and pipeline planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
