What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Professional position at Kels llc?
We are looking for a DSP to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Care experience is a plus. They must also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- *Providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. *Assisting with medication administration, as directed by a healthcare professional. *Supporting individuals with activities of daily living, such as transportation, grocery shopping, and meal planning. *Encouraging and promoting independence and self-care skills among the individuals they support. *Assisting individuals in accessing community resources and activities, such as recreational programs and social events. *Providing emotional support and helping individuals manage challenging behaviors. *Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services provided and progress towards goals. *Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure individuals receive coordinated care. *
Qualifications
- *High School Diploma or GED *One-year prior professional experience *Driver’s license required *Must be 18 years or older
Entry level position. Training is provided.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $16.00/hour.
