Position Summary:
The 2nd Shift Lead assists the Supervisor with leading, managing, developing, and oversee all of the warehouse activities at Kelsan for an entire shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- The overall safety of Kelsan associates, to ensure that all work areas meet all regulations and are safe for associates to perform assigned duties.
- Carry out tasks that are assigned by supervisor during the shift
- All sanitation duties are carried out by assigning duties and following up on any concerns.
- Responsible for meeting the productivity standards, review and perform analysis of activities to ensure associates are performing to the highest level to achieve Kelsan goals and objectives.
- Ensure timely and proper loading / unloading of products.
- Ensure all employees are following documented procedures
- Oversee work performed by Order Selectors, Forklift Operators, and Administrative personnel during all processes.
- Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment before, during and after each shift.
- See that all necessary reports are processed during and after each shift.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues oral instructions.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardize procedures to improve efficiency
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues and grievances
Qualifications & Skills:
· 2 years’ warehouse experience
· High School or GED equivalent
