What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner- Cardiology position at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic?
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular conditions and develop individualized care plans
- Diagnose and treat common cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to monitor patient progress and make informed treatment decisions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients
- Educate patients on lifestyle changes, risk factor management, and medications to improve cardiovascular health
- Manage patient care and coordinate follow-up appointments to ensure ongoing health and wellness
Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization in cardiology
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a cardiology setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
- At least 1 years of experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
