The Per Diem RN I is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards

Qualifications
Education
Required : Graduate from an approved RN nursing programPreferred : Bachelor's Degree in nursing
Experience
Required : 1 year RN work experience or previous experience as a KSC LVN and the new grad's hiringdepartment will provide direct supervision for 6 months, and participate in the new grad preceptoringprogram.Preferred : N / A
License(s)
Required : Valid and current Texas RN licensePreferred : N / A
Special Skills
Required : Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygenadministration and intravenous therapy.CRT experiencePreferred : Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned.Windows bases computer skills.
Other
Required : Current BLS through American Heart Association5 shifts per month3 shifts per year the day before or after a clinic holiday, with minimum of 1 shift related to a winter holiday.Able to travel within a selected regionPreferred : ACLS
