About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students. You will work closely with our Child Study / I.E.P. Team to assess pupils' needs, design and implement individualized instructional plans, and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in pupil assessment, individualized instructional plan design, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Instruct pupils using special techniques, equipment, materials, and related services as specified in the instructional plan.
- Prepare specialized materials and devices used in working with handicapped pupils.
- Provide motivation through a constantly varying approach to pupils who have difficulty working independently.
- Teach functional skills that may not be typically taught in the regular classroom, including student involvement in community settings.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess a credential or credentials appropriate to perform the assigned tasks and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with children, school personnel, and community agency personnel.
