Benefits : This position will become eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance after working 630 hours in accordance with the School Employee Benefits Board rules and regulations. Job Purpose Statement :
The job of "Health Care Specialist" is done for the purposes of meeting the individual health needs of students; incorporating health care plans directed by physicians; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and / or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to teachers, staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment.

Job Requirements - Qualifications :
Prior equivalent job related medical experience.
Skills to operate required health screening equipment and administer health screening tests, maintain records, communicate effectively.
Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, Certificated Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant - Certification required; Valid First Aid & CPR cards and Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance required.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when necessary. Successful passage of district-administered basic skills test. Keyboarding skills required.
