The Role
Assembles moving parts, such as shafts, levers, fan blades, bearings, according to customer specifications by performing the following duties.
What you will be responsible for:
- Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts using portable grinders and other hand tools.
- Drills, taps, or reams holes; aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together using hand tools or portable power tools.
- Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, fan blades, bearings, and work them to test free movement.
- Bends and installs pipe for lubricating systems; aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears including drive motors and fan shafts alignment.
- Operates tube-rolling equipment after training.
- Conduct hydro testing or assists in testing operation of completed product after training
- Prepares final assemblies for shipment, or storage per applicable drawings
- Positions parts manually or by use of overhead cranes or other lifting equipment as appropriate.
- Prepare tubes or fintubes for weld tube-to-tube sheet with steam cleaner and/or manual cleaning method.
- Works with other workers during tube insertion as per assignment.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime
- Implement and maintain 5S (workplace organization method in the area with good housekeeping manner). Responsible with hand-tools, power tools and/or equipment in the area on daily basis to ensure cleanliness and functionality at all time
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- Prior experience preferred, but not required.
