POSITION SUMMARY
Kelvion Inc., a leading global and domestic manufacturer of heat exchanger is seeking to hire a team-oriented and motivated individual to join our Knoxville, TN team as a Production Associate. The primary responsibility of the Production Associate will be to assemble and/or build units. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with the ability to work with minimal supervision and cooperate in a team environment. Able to perform setup and operation functions on machine and routinely performs such duties. Assists supervisor in identifying maintenance requirements. Performs all work activities in accordance with Health and Safety Program and Quality System. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

To Demonstrate a high level of consistent, quality workmanship while performing all assigned duties and responsibilities in a timely responsible manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Exhibit professional demeanor. Read, understand, and follow routings and work instructions.
- Read basic Manufacturing Drawing / Prints.
- All other duties as assigned
- Receive instructions and work orders for the job.
- Successfully complete training per requirements of company training program.
- Setup the machine according to the work instructions and job routers.
- Operate machine to perform production operations.
- Assist other employees in setup and operation functions as needed.
- Operate other production machines as needed.
- Seek to maximize the output of quality parts per production schedule.
- Identify improvements of methods that will increase quality and profitability.
- Identify maintenance issues as they arise.
- Provide information as requested to other departments to facilitate the completion of work projects.
- Understand and comply with all facets of the Health and Safety Program.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

- Requires the ability to set, adjust and secure tooling using various hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Must have the ability to become company-certified in overhead crane usage. Company cranes are controlled remotely from the ground.
- Self-motivated, reliable and can work without much supervision
- Good analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Exhibits good interpersonal skills, team building and leadership characteristics

- Ability to bend, lift, stand repetitively throughout the day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to work with hands on tedious operations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Prior machine operation experience preferred, but not required.
- Should have basic math and reading skills.
- Prior exposure to lean-Manufacturing environment preferred
