POSITION SUMMARY

Kelvion Inc., one of the leading global and domestic manufacturers of heat exchangers is seeking to hire an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Team. This individual will be involved in a broad range of HR responsibilities supporting our dynamic manufacturing facility. Will work closely with the management team as an independent on-site HR contributor. The Senior HR Generalist will be an integral part of the success of this organization and meeting its goals.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To provide strategic HR expertise across various functions like recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance, acting as a key advisor to management while ensuring alignment with organizational goals by leveraging their deep understanding of HR practices and employment laws to optimize workforce performance and employee engagement within a company; essentially serving as a comprehensive HR leader for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Administer benefits to include new hire activity, open enrollment coordination and distribution of mandated information to employee population.
  • Manages tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management, recognition, and engagement; and training and development.
  • Provide support to employees on basic employee relations questions and inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Supports employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Builds strong relationships across entities to foster communication and transparency.
  • Perform benefits administration regarding 401(K), Medical / Dental / Vision enrollments and changes.
  • Manage the onboarding procedures and ensuring that managers are provided with a new hire's first day / week agenda and ensures all processing of new hire paperwork.
  • Conducts recruiting activities.
  • Leads proper on-boarding process to include new-employee orientation.
  • Monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains department records; customized report writing from ADP Workforce Now system.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws including documentation and reporting.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational Framework
  • REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills, and ability to balance and complete multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate among multiple functions and levels within the organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Experience with ADP, is a plus.
  • Change driver and implementation.
  • Knowledge of current and changing state and federal laws administration practices
  • Develop and manage HR programs and policies.
  • Proficient and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist with progressive responsibility
  • Industrial or manufacturing experience, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Fluent in Spanish (both spoken and written communication is a must)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
