This position is responsible for preparing weekly cash flow forecasts, performing bank reconciliations, managing foreign exchange (FX) hedging activities, and continuously improving forecasting models. The Cash Accountant works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely cash management reporting and contributes to enhancing the organization’s financial forecasting capabilities.
What you will be responsible for:
Cash Flow Management:
- Prepare and submit weekly cash flow forecasts, providing analysis of variances and projections.
- Monitor daily cash positions to ensure liquidity and align with short-term financial needs.
- Identify and communicate potential cash flow issues to senior management in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger.
- Monitor and execute foreign exchange hedging strategies in line with the company’s financial risk management policies.
- Collaborate with treasury teams to optimize FX exposure and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Continuously improve cash flow forecasting models to enhance accuracy and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including treasury, accounting, and finance departments, to update and refine forecasting inputs.
- Propose and implement process improvements in cash flow management, reconciliation, and forecasting.
- Prepare regular reports on cash flow performance, liquidity, and FX exposure for management review.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations related to cash management and reporting.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes and experience working with multiple currencies and FX hedging strategies.
- High attention to detail with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and cash management platforms is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or treasury, with a focus on cash management, bank reconciliation, or financial forecasting.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or a Treasury certification (CTP) are a plus.
- Experience in a multinational environment with exposure to foreign exchange management is preferred.
