What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitting Specialist position at Kem Krest?
Role Summary:
Package customer’s products according to kitting instructions daily.
Pay Range: $18 per hour
1st Shift Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (with required overtime on Saturdays)
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
- Be Proficient in concepts and application of LEAN tools
- Follow and Mentor others in executing standard work
- Independently train others in required tasks
- Apply Basic techniques to resolve issues and escalate
Equipment Operations and Maintenance
- Independently operates and completes daily inspections of all MHE responsible for
- Follow and Mentor others in executing equipment procedures
- Apply Basic techniques to resolve issues and escalate
Data and Technology Controls
- Be Proficient in equipment operations and adjustments as required
- Lead staff to ensure proper steps are taken when reaction plan is required
- Be Proficient in ability to interpret data and outputs
Performance Execution
- Follow and Mentor others in driving performance related to all KPI's
- Be proficient in understanding workload planning and organization to improve on throughput
- Be proficient in independently adhering to and holding accountable process and performance to meet standards
EH&S Stewardship
- Lead others in executing and improving on safety related items
- Lead contributions towards reduction of risk and impact operations may have on surroundings
- Independently works to drive waste elimination activities
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Weight-Handling Requirements
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing between 30-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Overhead Lifting: Occasionally lifting items above shoulder level.
- Pulling and Pushing: Moving heavy objects using tools like pallet jacks, dollies, or carts.
General Physical Abilities
- Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, often on concrete floors. Shifts may last 8-12 hours.
- Bending and Stooping: Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, or twisting to pick up or organize items.
- Reaching and Stretching: Ability to reach above or below waist level to retrieve or store goods.
- Climbing: Occasionally climbing ladders or stairs to access products stored at higher levels.
Endurance and Stamina
- Performing physically demanding tasks in varying conditions (e.g., cold storage, hot warehouse spaces).
- Repeating motions like lifting, bending, or carrying without fatigue for an entire shift.
Coordination and Dexterity
- Good hand-eye coordination for picking, packing, or sorting items.
- Manual dexterity for operating tools or machinery (e.g., forklifts, scanners).
