MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Kemah Palms is to offer the highest quality and professional, Inpatient Detoxification, Residential Treatment, Partial Hospital Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient services.

  • Appropriate availability of alternative treatment modalities is made at any time before during or after treatment if they are requested or the client’s needs are out of the scope of our practice.
  • Kemah Palms will ensure that discharge from treatment is conducted in accordance with TDSHS 448 rule standards.
  • Kemah Palms provides both TDSHS and Joint Commission environment of care standards.
  • Kemah Palms will take all necessary and appropriate measures to maintain individual client records and information in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Kemah Palms strives to maintain positive relations with the surrounding community and pursues every reasonable action to encourage responsible client behaviors and community safety.

  • Meets productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ACCOUNTING

A. Report directly to Director of Program Development and indirectly with the Community Outreach Specialist.

B. Collections:

a. General Collections of past due accounts and outstanding revenue.

b. Aging collections in billing software.

c. Update supervisors of collection status.

d. Collecting and processing receipts

e. Assisting with client payments and copays

f. Sending off all correspondence of providers to Billing Dept.

B. Adhere to personnel policies and procedures outlined by management

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

  • Preferred Associates Degree or 3 years’ experience in billing and collections.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office products as well as Quickbooks
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Displays tact in dealing with staff and management team
  • Willingness to be flexible in adjusting to new and changing situations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to high volumes of stress.
