POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for preparing and reviewing all documents necessary for closing consumer loans accurately and according to the decision requirements. Emails, faxes, and mails loan paperwork, distributes loans to branches, and coordinates closings with branch personnel. Types and handles miscellaneous paperwork. Monitors and reviews incoming loans from branches for accuracy and compliance. Sets up reconciliation and funding for indirect auto loans and leases.
Note: This is not a remote position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Prepares paperwork for review and closings. Orders any documents needed for review.
- Disburses loan according to loan decision requirements. Journals fees, collects insurance premiums, and any other costs associated with a loan, crediting to the proper general ledger account.
- Distributes loan paperwork to branches and appropriate personnel.
- Coordinates loan closings with branches. Closes loans as necessary.
- Researches and resolves documentation errors or discrepancies. Forwards more complex problems to Management.
- Receives and screens telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of consumer loan products and services.
Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.
Experience Required:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Previous varied office experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong typing abilities.
Excellent verbal public relations skills.
Well organized.
Ability to operate calculators, word processors, and other related computer applications.
