Job Description
- Manage the KEMET Internal Quality Audit (IQA) system.
- Planning
- Execution/Oversight
- Follow-up
- Reporting
- Oversight of the IQA team
- Help coordinate KEMET 3rd party quality certification audits, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS 9100, by assisting manufacturing locations in scheduling and providing technical support during the audits, as needed.
- Coordinate payment to quality registrar for 3rd party audits performed (all North American locations and Tantalum Suzhou and Suzhou Reeling).
- Continually review for industry changes that could have an impact on the KEMET Quality Management System (QMS) and provide input on revisions to Corporate Documentation (QOD’s) accordingly. Provide support to manufacturing locations to help with understanding of requirement changes.
- Provide input to revisions of KEMET QOD’s.
- Provide input to review of Customer Quality Requirements.
- Gain knowledge of Military Specifications applicable to KEMET.
- Potentially manage other Corporate Quality team members as direct reports.
- Proficiency in English verbal and written skills.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to coach and train others.
- Understanding of the KEMET QMS.
- Ability to thoroughly review and understand Quality Standards, Military Specifications, and Industry Standards and apply this knowledge to the KEMET QMS.
- Bachelor of Science degree in related field and / or applicable work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Quality role.
- KEMET manufacturing experience (Quality or Process Engineering) a plus.
- Travel Requirement: ~25 – 40%, mostly International.
