Overview
Kemin Animal Nutrition & Health is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their Swine team! The Key Account Manager’s primary focus is growing Kemin’s business within the swine industry. In this role, this person will work with customers to help achieve their goal in raising healthy animals. Additionally, this person will have a direct impact on providing healthy and nutritious ingredients to the swine industry, and by doing so will have a direct impact on feeding America.
As a Key Account Manager, this individual will manage accounts as part of a team involving other Kemin employees, Technical Service Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, and other Key Account Managers.
Candidates interested in this position must be willing and able to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities
- Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin, in accordance with sales budgets.
- Ensure that a sale is successfully completed with involvement at each stage of the sales process. These responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers.
- Developing and advancing sales projects for new and existing customers.
- Establishing mutually beneficial business relationships with key motivators at assigned customers.
- Making technical sales presentations on Kemin programs/products.
- Helping the customer understand Kemin products and implementation strategies.
- Identifying and resolving concerns.
- Closing the sale and implementing the startup programs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in poultry/animal science or agriculture related field preferred with 5 years' experience in sales.
- Or high school diploma with 7 years' of production experience in a modern swine production system.
- Willingness and ability to travel 60%, primarily domestic but could include international.
- A solid understanding of the chemical and biological sciences in order to prepare and present technically detailed product presentations to prospective customers.
- A high degree of energy, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in managing projects to a successful completion.
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a poultry/animal science or agriculture related field preferred.
