Overview

We're hiring! Kemin is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Animal Nutrition and Health team.  This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of product formulations, labels, and literature, as well as preparing and submitting dossiers to support registration of pesticide products used primarily in the USA. Knowledge and/or experience in Canada or Mexico will be useful in this role.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with EPA registrations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret scientific data supporting safety and efficacy of to prepare dossiers to support regulatory approval for a variety of products including, but not limited to pesticides, biocides, and biofuels products. 
  • Interpret relevant government regulations and determine regulatory requirements to prepare dossiers for government approval of pesticide products.
  • Prepare and submit dossiers and reports to regulatory agencies in North America, not limited to the US EPA and FDA.
  • Develop and utilize regulatory strategies to achieve product registrations for the designated products in the pesticide portfolio on a timely basis to support commercialization efforts.
  • Serve as a Kemin regulatory pesticide registration expert under the direction of senior Regulatory Affairs management
  • Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments such as, but not limited to R&D, Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, Finance, and Leadership team members.

  • Responsible for review of pesticide and biofuels product formulations, product claims, labels, safety data sheets and associated marketing and sales collateral.
  • Attend industry meetings or trade shows when necessary; stay current on trends as they affect pesticide and biofuels regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors Degree in a Science related  field with a minimum or 5 years of demonstrated experience in successfully registering pesticides with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Experience with food contact substances and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is desirable. 
  • Must be customer service oriented and work well with varied personalities inside and outside of Kemin. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and handle basic math problems.
  • Ability to manage projects while working in a fast paced business environment. 
  • Analytical abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Up to 5% travel.
