We are now looking for a Rail Logistics Safety & Process Specialist for our rail logistics group. This position will be primarily responsible for rail logistics activities related to safety, car maintenance, regulatory compliance, and management of change processes and can be located in the US or Canada. The incumbent will be responsible for railcar safety training, railcar maintenance, including work planning and cost control, working closely with our maintenance service provider, Alltranstek, and further developing comprehensive management of change processes and procedures for all aspects of rail logistics. This position will be an integral part of the rail logistics management team and will provide support to efficiency improvement initiatives in addition to management of change and rail safety & compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing safety training for railcar inspections, loading, and securement to both internal and external personnel handling Kemira cars and products.
- Planning railcar maintenance for a diverse railcar fleet of 1200 cars.
- Working closely with Alltranstek, EHSQ, and manufacturing sites to ensure safety and compliance in all aspects of rail logistics.
- Managing Kemira’s railcar inspection system and liaising with global attributes, manufacturing sites, and third-party users of the system.
- Managing management of change initiatives related to rail logistics department processes and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, or business.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the tank or rail car industry.
- Hazmat and liquid bulk experience are preferable.
- Bilingual in English and French is a plus.
