Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant at Kemmet Dental Design, you will work closely with Dr. Kemmet and our team to provide high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. You will assist with a variety of procedures in both general dentistry and specialized treatments, including orthodontics, airway care, and the use of advanced dental technologies. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to help us shape the future of dental care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with dental procedures, including restorative work, orthodontic treatments, and airway-specific procedures.
- Operate and maintain high-tech equipment like CEREC, Solea lasers, 3D printers, and electric handpieces.
- Provide patient education, particularly on airway health, orthodontics, and preventative care.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Take X-rays, impressions, and digital scans.
- Coordinate with the team to manage patient care and assist in treatment planning.
- Support the team in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong interest in new technology and continuous learning.
- Certification: Active Dental Assistant license and CPR certification required. Additional certifications in radiology or orthodontics are a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with advanced dental technologies and open to learning new systems and techniques.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Hours: (as of 2024)
- Monday-Thursday, 7:30-5:30
- 1 Hour lunch, 1:00-2:00
- Friday, 7:30-1:15 Avg of once/month in winter/school season.
- No Fridays in summer.
- Average of 1575-1700 hrs/year
Benefits:
- $21-$26/hr(CDA)
- $17-$21/hr (QDA)
