Job Description:
As the Automotive Office Manager/Payroll Manager, you will manage all aspects of office administration and payroll processing for the dealership. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing office resources, and ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time. This position requires someone who can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations, including office supplies, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Manage payroll processing for dealership employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll according to company policies and legal requirements.
- Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR-related matters.
- Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and leave tracking for all employees.
- Maintain and organize payroll records, including tax filings, deductions, and withholdings.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll and tax laws.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of financial and budgetary reports.
- Coordinate and manage office staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain filing systems for payroll, HR, and office documents.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication across the organization.
- Support HR functions, including onboarding new employees, maintaining employee files, and helping with performance reviews.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Payroll Manager, or in a similar administrative or finance-related role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, including tax laws and compliance.
- Experience managing employee benefits programs.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in payroll and accounting software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of HR functions, including employee benefits and compliance with employment laws.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional qualifications or a degree in business, finance, HR, or a related field is a plus.
