Job Description:
As an Automotive Title Clerk & Warranty Administrator, you will play a key role in handling vehicle title processing, registration, and title transfers, while also managing warranty claims and ensuring compliance with warranty guidelines for both new and used vehicles. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, submitting required paperwork, and resolving any title or warranty issues for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicles.
- Verify vehicle information (VIN, buyer/seller info, etc.) on all title and registration documents.
- Handle title transfers for purchased and sold vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely submission of forms to state agencies (e.g., DMV).
- Administer warranty claims by reviewing and submitting warranty paperwork to manufacturers in a timely manner.
- Track and maintain warranty records, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and policies.
- Assist customers with warranty inquiries and provide them with the necessary information regarding their coverage.
- Work closely with the service department to process warranty repairs and related documentation.
- Monitor warranty claim status and follow up as needed to ensure proper and timely processing.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer warranty policies, changes in state and federal title laws, and related regulations.
- Provide administrative support, including filing and maintaining title and warranty files.
- Maintain accurate and organized records for both title/registration transactions and warranty claims.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Title Clerk, Warranty Administrator, or similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive title processing, registration, and state-specific DMV requirements.
- Experience in warranty administration, including processing claims and working with manufacturers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in title processing software and general office tools (e.g., MS Office).
- Knowledge of automotive warranty policies and procedures.
- High school diploma ; additional certifications or experience in automotive warranty administration or title processing is a plus.
