Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Reach Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of pallets and products using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards while operating heavy equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain an organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
