Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences:
- Learn about the operations of a life insurance company including underwriting, policy administration, the call center, and claims
- Be assigned an operational excellence project and work alongside a business process engineer to deliver process improvement initiatives across one of the life insurance operations functional areas
- Interact and coordinate with other departments to gain an understanding of the innerworkings of a life insurance company and how each team meets organizational objectives
- Complete professional development assignments
- Report out on operational excellence project results
- Junior or Senior status enrolled at Harris-Stowe State University
- Qualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance industry, such as, finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration
- Non-business majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
- This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 3-4 days a week
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
